Once apon a time lived a man and his dog. The man was gentle the dog was not. They lived together for years and still the dog did not like him, or so the man thought. One day a traveler came to the mans house. This traveler asked the man if he would buy his socks. The man said no I have socks and do not need yours. The traveler begged the man and said its all I have to sell and I need money to eat. The man said but I to need money to eat and as you see I have two mouths to feed. The dog approached from behind the house and sat next to the man. The man tries to pet the dog but it growls at his hand. The traveler says but it seems this dog does not like you and he will not know why you have not given him food please sir help a man in need. The man says sorry traveler but I have not the money to give but take this it will bring you more than your socks will get as the man hands him an old gold ring. The traveler thanks him and steps twored the man and reaches for the ring as he gets closer the traveler sees the mans wallet half way sticking out of his pocket and decides to reach for it and in doing so pushes the man down. The man falls to the ground as the traveler turns to run away. But the dog gets up and jumps on the traveler just as he turns biting his hand and tacking the wallet back. The man reaches for the wallet in the dogs mouth and tacks it then tries to pet the dog but the dog just growls at his hand then takes his spot next to the man and lays back down. The man suggests to the traveler that it is time for him to leave. The traveler holding his hand runs off.
